Most of my clients approach me when they feel stuck. They have a business or an idea but are not sure what to do next. There is just so much advice that both consciously & subconsciously gets absorbed that the next step from stuck is normally overwhelm.

This is where people either step up or collapse. Right now, here is my big secret (and every other business advisers), to clime rather than fall all you need is to find a path and walk it. That’s it!

The skill comes in finding the right path for you and your business. Of course you can do this yourself and I’ll even give you some tips on how to DIY your business route map. I want everyone to succeed.

1. Get very clear on your personal values; no one wants to run a business that makes them feel icky. This is the base for your Ethos/Mission Statement
2. Know your WHY? – You’ll hear this a lot, like a new buzz word. Here is my WHY and why it is important to know yours. Yep, those of you that pressed the link, will know that my why is the focus of my About & the heart of my business. Snip-it version for those who don’t do link clicking (I know a few, like the modern ‘don’t leave messages’ lot). I set this business up so people didn’t get stuck with one size fits all advice, making a plan that is just as tailored as you are in your business. Your WHY is also what is going to push you.
3. or  4. (hay it’s your plan) Find your ideal customers, know as much about them as you can. The more you know, the easier it’ll be to sell to them. You can even tailor to their requirements.
4. or 3. Make the product or service that you’re proud of and then look for buyers.

Both ways can work.

5.  You’ve got a push from your WHY now lets have a directional pull… Using your identified values, what is your             desired result from your business?

Once you know 1-5,  you can map out a path that works for you… i.e. if you value time with your young family, your business journey may start once your little ones are asleep, or you may get them involved….the point is it’s your business, it’s up to you.
