Add some colour to someone’s day, say thank you.
It really is amazing how times have changed. We used to dread the hordes of junk mail coming through our letter boxes, hiding the monthly bills & every now and again we’d receive a letter, card or post card. Now email has dwarfed the amount of physical mail we receive to such an extent, that we actually get really excited to receive physical mail at all!
Today I got the best type of mail imaginable…completely unexpected, beautifully handmade “Thank You” card.
The lovely Keryn from kerynscards.com is someone I’ve “met” through Facebook and is part of a blogging group I manage. What a lovely (& very clever) gesture.
In the mass of people trying to communicate, it is good to stand out & make some ones day. I know of a friend who sent here ideal Joint Venture partner cupcakes with a picture of herself on…could you forget her? I know of a Virtual Assistant who mailed out to potential leads a screwed up ball of printed upside-down on letter headed paper saying “This will be the last thing we screw up for you.”
That laugh, touching sentiment, personal video etc will stay with the recipient much longer then an email lost in the masses.
So what could you do to say thank you, reach out & stand out?

It’s such a beautiful idea to send out physical thank you cards! Love it 🙂
Thank you so much AJ for featuring my card in your post and sharing the link to my blog. I’ve had such a great response from the two thank you cards I’ve sent to facebook contacts lately that I’ll be sending many more.
Thank you, not only did you give me a beautiful card, that made my day; you also gave me a blog subject 🙂
