In a bid to carry out a 31 day blog challenge and stay true to a commitment I made to my family to be Tech Free On Sundays, I have written this blog on Friday night, typed it up on Saturday and scheduled it for Sunday.
“But for only a month surely you could have just done it on Sunday?”
NO. The commitments you make to yourself and your family are the most important but also the easiest to brake.
Letting yourself off (no matter how good the reason) will set a president to do it again. I’m no angel, this is still something I have to constantly work on.
- Where would I be now if I had stuck to that diet?
- Where would I be if I had delivered those flyers I spent hours developing?
- What results would I have if I did what I know I should?
You get the idea.
So although re-committing to my blog is important, it is no where near as important as connecting with my family.
Finding your priorities based on your values is one of the best commitments you can make for you.
What have you committed to & what did you achieve from that commitment? What did you let fall by the way side that you’d now like to re-commit to? Comment below so we can support your commitment 🙂
Great Post Amanda!!! And Well done you for keeping both your commitments. I am really working on my tech free time as well (can’t commit to a whole day 🙁 but am trying to stay off my phone/ computer when i’m having family time).
I love that stick to commitment (especially with family) but you found a way to get around another commitment without any excuses… awesome.
