I asked in my FB group “What would you like to know before you’d attend a Business Retreat?” Asking this at 10 to 11 pm on a Saturday night. I wasn’t really expecting an answer, but one lovely member obliged me with some fantastic insight.
Immediate Response
Questions raised including affordability, travel, what can be expected from the 1:1 sessions and what follow up can guests expect after the weekend?
Here was my reply…
“Fantastic insight! Thank you so much.
To answer a couple of your questions now. Don’t worry, even from this, I see me making a video on Brain Dumping, would be welcomed. It’s what we do in the 1st retreat 1:1 session.
Cost – All our retreats can be paid in parts over time, in fact, 2 people have recently started paying off for retreats next year.
Travel – I personally drive up from Hawke’s Bay to Auckland and then over to Tairua so am more than happy to pick people up on route (and have) including from Auckland airport. No additional cost as I was driving up anyway.
From feedback from previous guests, we now start with a 1:1 a week before we go, so you can hit the ground running, no “what should I be doing?” moments. This one to one focuses on what you’ve been meaning to do but haven’t gotten around to yet.
On arrival, we have a group discussion on who your ideal client is… This gives everyone the opportunity to be able to help each other over the weekend.
As mentioned above the 1st retreat based 1:1 is a brain dump…. covering everything because business is super hard to focus on if something else dominates your thoughts.
From there we organise into a priority focused plan, which you implement throughout the rest of the weekend.
Any additional support needed to execute the plan is provided by myself, Sarah or other guests throughout.
2nd 1:1 is for a plan moving forward.
This is touched back on after the weekend and if guests are already not Accountability Clients, they have a large discount for 3 months to really make the most from the weekend.
Thank you again for your input… This was very easy to answer because all things have been considered and addressed in my mind, but it’s clear I need to articulate this information more to potential guests.
Note, payment options are still available for Nov for clients & active Hub members.”
Do as I say, because it’s what I do
This was me following my own advice to not assume when you can ask.
Don’t assume when you can ask.
I am looking forward to a few more insights from Hubsters in the daylight hours that will allow me to better provide the information they need as they are people I enjoy serving.
